Fifty-Fifth Entry [Action]

[In the morning, Poland notices people getting gifts out of their stockings. Curious, he makes his way to his own, which is white on the top half and red on the bottom, with Królestwo Polskie embroidered at the top in red. He gives the note a cursory look and discards it, then digs in... and finds a bundled up apron inside. He's confused for a second, then, cautiously, smells the cloth... Roses?]
[Oh.]
[Jadwiga won't be made a saint officially for almost 600 years, but as far as Poland's concerned, he's just been handed a holy relic. Carefully, he folds the cloth up to take it back to his room.]
[Also, presents! He's picked up on the fact that future-people exchange them all willy-nilly, so his friends get some (comment if I've forgotten you, my memory's not great)!
-Elaine gets a small bottle of a lightly scented perfume, and a CD of him singing music from his time (because she gave him that boombox ages ago, and he wants to show his gratitude).
-Tim gets a bottle of knock-you-on-your-ass wódka. Merry Christmas, drinking buddy!
-Nitori gets a lovingly hand-embroidered ribbon for her hair.
-Kurt gets a book on fashion history, because Poland has been enjoying those himself over the past year. And a smaller book relating to beauty tips from around the world, which will probably contain better advice on how to keep that youthful glow than "good agricultural practices and a lively political system."
-Ryohei gets a totally extreme pie that Poland baked for him, plus a hand-stitched pet bed for Kogaryuu
-Nai gets a couple of easy books to read, and also a stuffed pony because he seemed to like the real ones.
-Ritsuka gets some pretty glass Christmas ornaments, plus a warm pair of leather gloves.
-Ellis gets a keg of beer brewed the way it was back in Poland's day, and a shiny new wooden sled with an invitation to go test it out sometime soon ♥
-Yujinn gets a set of nice glassware to keep his potions in.
-Lawr gets a set of pretty candles, and an invitation to come and spend (totally platonic) time with Poland and his husband whenever he wants to. And also a small note of very heartfelt thanks for his advice about the wedding night.
-And of course Liet, who gets (in addition to some seriously undying affection) a brand new cloak, fur-lined and hooded, with a delicately-wrought cloakpin of silver and amber. And, in a more classically romantic gesture, a handkerchief embroidered with a crowned eagle and a knight on horseback with a double cross on his shield.]

[He's really glad she likes it. And that it turned out okay, given the amount of trial and error involved in figuring out how to record himself.]

Date: 2010-12-28 02:56 pm (UTC)[Which he shouldn't, because... because it's like, not like Liet doesn't know Poland likes him, or doesn't feel the same way. They're married, for the love of God, they've been married for months and make love sometimes, and it's silly to feel so shy about doing things for him!]
[...Poland feels it anyway, though.]
The, um, the cloak looks way good on you...
[In a decisive moment, he skitters over to Liet's side, pressing the second gift into his hands. It's wrapped in a cloth bag, because he still can't wrap his head around treating paper like it's disposable.]
