[Poland, dressed in his 15th century Sunday best, is in a smallish room bedecked with candles and crosses. Today, it's also decorated with white cloth hangings and flowers everywhere. After all that Lenten fasting, it appears he was able to will his room to have a chapel attached!]

So, um. I know not everyone here is Christian, but... Today's a really important day for those of us who are, and I kinda wanted to share that with people. So like, I wanted to start the day with a reading from Matthew for everyone! And Liet and I have been making tons of sweets and pisanki for today, if anyone wants to come hang out and help us eat them...

But first things first~ [He crosses himself, then picks up a huge, leather-bound Bible with vellum pages, flipping it open to a page he'd marked and beginning to read aloud. His Latin accent is actually pretty good, because he's had a LOT of practice since his baptism over 400 years ago.]

A lesson from the Gospel of Matthew:

tunc ait illis Iesus nolite timere ite nuntiate fratribus meis ut eant in Galilaeam ibi me videbunt.

[He closes the Bible, and holds it up in front of him with a reverent little bow.]

The Gospel of the Lord. Thanks be to God!

[Setting the Bible aside, he gives the camera a happy smile.]

Alleluia, Christ is risen! Happy Easter, everyone ♥

[OOC: I'm... not Catholic, so there are more or less guaranteed to be little errors here. But I tried! And happy Easter to everyone from the mun, too, while I'm OOC note-ing~]

Yeah, it can be totally hard for people to really learn, especially when they only really hear it at Mass. But like, I've been Christian since 966, so I've heard it a lot, you know?

Yeah, makes sense. I never really had to learn it.

[Too busy learning Japanese. Since apparently all Italians speak it fluently and the one Hong Kongese character in the manga can't speak it at all idek.]

And I stopped going to Mass when I was younger, so I haven't used what I know in a long time.

Mm, most people don't.

[Lol, manga logic~]

How come?

I left home.

[lol this is me making stuff up, since it never comes up in the manga ever. I assume since he's Italian he was raised at least nominally Catholic.]

And went someplace that's not Christian?

[Reasonable assumption \o/]

I was in Italy still. I just stopped going most of the time after I left my dad's house.

[He...is not sure why he's sharing this with Poland. He's never even told Tsuna or his other friends this.]

And then I went to Japan.

Oh, I see... Like, going to Mass is totally important, though! It helps you stay in touch with everything.

Hey, you should come have breakfast at my place! We made a ton of food.

There have been some things that were more important to me since then.

Uh...sure. I'll come.

[A little Look] It's like, not just something to be ignored, though.

[Ffff, he's like a little kid who doesn't understand loss of faith, except you know he's like way over 30 times your age \o/ This probably has something to do with him having faith in God so intense and genuine that his response to the Holocaust being directly followed by 50 years of Soviet oppression is anything OTHER that "Fuck you, God, you either don't exist or you're an asshole!"]

Anyway, there's eggs and bread and cakes and I think like some cheese and stuff, so yeah, come over whenever you feel like it!

[Gokudera can't even begin to explain to him why he would have stopped going to Mass--there were too many reasons, and Poland didn't seem likely to accept any of them. Besides, he's already said more about himself than he meant to, and the sudden willingness to self-disclose is making him uncomfortable.]

Alright. I'll be down a little later.

Okay, like, see you in a bit!

[He wouldn't NOT accept them, exactly. He's big on religious tolerance and respects people's decisions about it for the most part. But he wouldn't exactly accept it, either, because he doesn't like to see people lose faith. Faith has gotten him through a lot of bad stuff, and WILL get him through even more even worse stuff, so he views it as a very valuable, powerful thing.]
