So like, I just realized, it's been a wicked long time since I talked to... ummm, most of you, I guess. My bad! I just kinda didn't feel like hanging out, so, whatever.

What's everyone been doing? I'm bored to the max. Not too psyched about the new event, though, if it's got to do with the mirrors.

Umm, by the way, it's like, almost me and Liet's anniversary? And I'm kinda wondering, I don't know, what I should do for it. Like... should I try and make him something, or what? I totally haven't really ever had an anniversary before, so like, um, yeah.

The first anniversary is traditionally paper. Well, in the states anyway. Do with that what you will. Seems like a sillier tradition than a turtle on a log but whatever, that's the way traditions are I guess.

Well, like, they were standing with one, and it was their fault last time the mirrors got to mess with us, right? I think that's totally it.

For sure? God, that sounds kinda expensive... I mean, I guess I could pull that off here, but I wonder what people who can't afford it do?

I think I've heard of people just doin' cards, though. Or maybe paper towels, from family members. For your, uh, husband, though, maybe a book would be nice?

Yikes. Alright, well, to be fair I don't have one of my own. But I've met one or two who aren't all that bad. Just...different.

Yeah, I guess it would be. It's actually gettin' replaced an awful lot in my time, haha. Once you've got computers, paper's not as cool, I suppose.

[Poland doesn't mind that. He doesn't mind it at all. He pets Liet's hair softly, his fingers actually delicate for once.]

[He's snoring lightly and probably nuzzling Poland's tummy a bit. It's a nice summer's day and their room is shady and comfortable and having his husband close is just very calming.]

[Poland feels much the same. He's been taking it easy a lot these past weeks, doing the things that are instinctive and natural and easy for him--caring for the horses, working on the vegetable garden, praying, fashion, and staying in with Liet. It's been very calming for him, very assuring, and he feels... quite at peace, really. He rubs Liet's shoulder a little, leaning back against the headboard and setting his device aside.]

[ Philip remembers Poland well enough to have given some thought to his absence, but the less said about his efforts to keep in contact the better. He really does need to work on those Wonderland socialising skills. ]

...Since we talked, anywway. Not since the last mirror event. I really hope they don't cross again.

[ Wonderland socialising. Starting by clearing his throat and changing the subject to a more positive one. ]

But-- Anyway. I didn't even know you were married, I don't think.

[ He really hopes it's not just vital information that slipped his mind, though sadly he would not be surprised. ]

You seriously didn't know? That's so weird! We had, like, a super big party. It was awesome~

[ Philip couldn't agree more. His mirror harbours similarly unpleasant, if mercifully unambitious desires, hence-- Subject change. Instantly. ]

That wedding must've been just before I got here then. Shame I missed it.

...I can't believe you actually got married in Wonderland though.

[ It's said with considerable awe. Marriage strikes Philip as ominous enough already, help of an alternate dimension not required. ]

Aw, that's so lame. It was a really fab wedding! Liet looked super handsome, and everybody who was anybody was there ♥

Why wouldn't we? [He tilts his head at the, uh, microphone.] Like, with all the events and weird people and stuff around, we thought it'd be best for us to formalize our alliance. Plus, you know... L-Like, if the events made us do anything, it would've made things weird between us if we weren't properly married!

[Because... naive little medieval Catholics. They would've been too embarrassed to speak to each other ever again, honestly.]

[ It really isn't, at least not for Philip. In his world he'd accept the choice with a raised eyebrow, but here it's somehow different, it's... Oh, damn those past people for making him feel improper.

As for the other thing not making it into his scope of comprehension, he can't exactly put his finger on the why, but a Wonderland marriage seems doomed to fail, all circumstances considered. Sure, that's his gloomy judgement talking, but... ]

That'd be, like, the lamest death ever. I'd laugh at you. And then I'd have to eulogize for you, all, "Here lies Elaine, who was pretty chill until she just like, totally kicked it from boredom, sucks for us," and it'd be kinda hard to take seriously, right?
